The last post was about the to-do-list. This one is about the Pomodoro technique. This is a time management technique to help you break tasks down into intervals. Twenty-five minute intervals to be specific. It is a great method for focusing totally on a task.
If you're a tech person, you can find apps for your phone or computer, or you can set a timer on your phone. Up to you.
1. Choose a task
2. Set a timer for 25 minutes
3.Work on the task until that buzzer sounds. Don't get distracted by emails or social media, you can check them when the 25 minutes is up.
4.Take a break
5. Set timer and start again
There are other techniques out there like this, find one that works for you. You may find the first couple of times you do this that focussing for a full 25 minutes is difficult. There more you do this, the easier it gets.
